Enjoyment for His Glory

Mike Ferrante

Passage: 1 Timothy 4:1-5

Prayer: Lord, what you have made is good.  Forgive us if we have turned what you have created for the good of our lives into our god.   We, in many ways, have found more pleasure in the things you have created than in the Creator!  In doing so, many people have had to live isolated from your created blessing in order to have peace.  Your people have to abstain from good things in order to live at peace with the hurting.  Lord I ask that you help us all find balance in the beauty of your creation!  Help us, Lord, to find first our true peace and joy in you!  Help us to find our joy in loving you with all our heart mind and spirit!  Also Lord, help us to love those around us as we love our own souls!  What you have created was meant to be enjoyed.  Teach us to enjoy your creation, to indulge our senses through the power of your word and the glory of your name.  Lord, we wish not to enjoy what you have made in the confines of our own chambers, where chambers may turn into prisons.  Instead Lord, may we invite all around in Holy Community that the Glory of your name may abound! In your name Jesus, Amen.

Ponder: Is all that you partake in done for the glory of God?  What can you add to your life for His Glory?  What do you need to remove?
